Stephen is a physical therapist, athletic trainer and co-founder of CPT. Together with his wife, Suzanne, CPT’s first location in Forest City, PA opened in 1997. Stephen graduated from Lock Haven University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and as a Certified Athletic Trainer. He maintained and applied his athletic training certification for over 20 years. Stephen pursued his career as a physical therapist from Temple University, graduating with a Master of Physical Therapy in 1994. He then achieved his Doctorate of Physical Therapy, also from Temple University, in 2006. Dr. Atcavage is a Direct-Access licensed physical therapist which expands his scope of practice, allowing him to evaluate patients and administer care without physician referral. Stephen maintains a primary clinical specialty focused in orthopedics, sports medicine and advanced manual therapy techniques. He holds a certification in concussion rehabilitation through the American Institute of Balance. Dr. Atcavage has over 25 years of experience working with many collegiate, sem- professional and professional athletes. From 2005 - 2008, Stephen was the personal physical therapist and key member of the team for Wladimir Klitschko - the former heavy weight boxing champion. With more than 30 years of professional experience, Steve now focuses on helping non-athletes and local athletes of all sports. He has a strong following in the treatment of shoulder problems, especially with pitchers and swimmers.

Dr. Suzanne Atcavage

Suzanne is a physical therapist and co-founder of CPT. Together with her husband, Stephen, CPT’s first location in Forest City, PA opened in 1997. Suzanne is a 1991 graduate of Temple University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in General Studies with a focus in Psychology. She continued at Temple University and earned her Master of Physical Therapy in 1994. She later pursued and achieved her Doctor of Physical Therapy, also from Temple University, in 2006. In 2021, Suzanne earned Federal State Board recognition as a Neurological Clinical Specialist of Physical Therapy (NCS). Less than 3500 physical therapy clinicians have earned this designation. Dr. Atcavage is a Direct-Access licensed physical therapist which expands her scope of practice, allowing her to evaluate patients and administer care without physician referral. Suzanne maintains a primary clinical and specialty focus in neurological rehabilitation. Treatment of acute and chronic dizziness, balance disorders and concussion are long-standing areas of interest for her. Additionally, movement disorder conditions like cerebrovascular accidents (stroke), Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s Disease are a target of her practice. Suzanne holds certifications as an LSVT BIG clinician, PWR certified clinician, is recognized by the American Institute of Balance as a Level I and II Certified Vestibular clinician (AIB-VR1, AIB-VR2) and is an AIB Certified Concussion specialist. She is certified in concussion care through ImPACT. She is a certified coach for Rock Steady Boxing - an exercise program developed to address the effects of Parkinson’s Disease and has founded a Rock Steady Boxing program for CPT, located in Honesdale, PA. Dr. Atcavage’s primary location of practice is within CPT’s Center for Specialty Care in Honesdale, PA - a location equipped to deliver advanced rehabilitation to patients with dizziness, vertigo, balance disorders, concussion and other neurological related conditions.

Arnone Susanna

Susanna is an occupational therapist who joined the CPT team in 2015 and practices in our Honesdale and Hawley offices. She is a 2012 graduate of Penn State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies. She pursued and achieved her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in 2014. Susanna also holds recognition as a Certified Lymphedema Therapist through the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy. Susanna’s clinical areas of focus include disorders of the lymphatic system including lymphedema, lipedema, lipo-lymphedema, venous edema/phlebo-lymphostatic edema, burns and wound care.

Alexandra is a physical therapist assistant and has been a dedicated CPT team member for over 20 years - having joined our team in 1999 immediately after achieving her Associates in Applied Science from Keystone College the same year. “Alex” is a Physical Therapist Assistant and holds a certification as an LSVT BIG Clinician for Parkinson’s Disease Treatment. She is recognized through the American Institute of Balance as a Level 1 Certified Vestibular Clinician (AIB-VR1). Alex practices in our Forest City location and leads the office as the Clinic Manager. Alexandra’s clinical areas of interest include orthopedic conditions and post-surgical interventions with a focus on return to normal gait and daily activities.

Jennifer Brown

Jennifer joined the CPT team as a physical therapist in 2014, but has been part of our organization since high school, when she worked with us as a rehab technician. Jennifer practices in our Hawley office and is also our clinical manager at that location. Jennifer is a 2010 graduate of Temple University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. Next, she continued her studies through Misericordia University and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2013. Dr. Brown is a Direct Access licensed physical therapist which expands her scope of practice, allowing her to evaluate and administer care without physician referral. She is recognized through the American Institute of Balance as a Level 1 Certified Vestibular Clinician (AIB-VR1) and holds certification as a Graston Technique trained therapist. Jennifer’s professional areas of interest include pediatric rehabilitation with a focus in infant and toddler developmental delay and congenital conditions. Additionally, her clinical interests encompass orthopedic recovery including joint replacement and repairs.

Christine became part of the CPT team in 2004, stepped away from us for a period of time and then returned in 2011! She is currently our lead physical therapist in the Forest City office. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Dickinson College in 1998. She continued her education at MCP Hahnemann University and achieved her Master of Physical Therapy in 2000. Christine holds certifications as an LSVT BIG clinician, a program which benefits patients with Parkinson’s Disease and Parkinson’s related syndromes. She is recognized through the American Institute of Balance as a Level 1 Certified Vestibular Clinician (AIB-VR1). Christine’s years of experience supplement her clinical interests which are vast. Clinical strengths and interests included treatment of neurological movement disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease, stroke and Multiple Sclerosis. Christine also identifies orthopedic injuries and surgeries as a high interest area of patient care and enjoys supporting patients to regain range of motion, strength and functional use of their injured body.

Stephanie has been part of the CPT family since 2006 and leads our billing department and front desk teams. With more than 20 years of billing and experience, Stephanie has an expansive knowledge of medical insurance, laws and regulations. She works hard to develop relationships with our patients and assist in any way possible to make sure patient coverage is maximized for their care. Stephanie is based in our Forest City office.

Ashley Genello

Ashley is a physical therapist who joined the CPT team in 2021. Ashley received her Bachelors in Exercise Science with a concentration in Nutrition Studies from The University of Scranton in 2018. She continued and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2021. She is an LSVT BIG certified clinician, a program which addresses the impairments commonly seen in persons with Parkinson’s Disease. Additional primary areas of practice include the geriatric population – especially orthopedic and balance impairments. As a former competitive gymnast, Ashley also enjoys working with young athletes to return to their sport. Ashley is part of our team in the Dunmore and Carbondale locations.

Aubrey Hegge

Aubrey joined CPT in 2018 and practices within the Center for Specialty Care in Honesdale, PA. Aubrey earned her Bachelor of Science with a focus in Psychology from Misericordia University in 2014 and succeeded that with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017. Dr. Hegge is a Direct-Access licensed physical therapist which expands her scope of practice, allowing her to evaluate patients and administer care without physician referral. Aubrey has diligently pursued advanced skills and training since joining the CPT team. She holds recognition with the American Institute of Balance with a Level 1 certification in vestibular rehabilitation (AIB-VR1) and concussion. Furthermore, Aubrey has pursued advanced clinical education and training through the Herman & Wallace Institute and has achieved certificates in the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction. Dr. Hegge’s areas of clinical specialty enccompass vestibular disorders including hypofunction, positional vertigo and post-concussion syndrome. Additionally, she has an uncommon but very valuable specialty treating disorders of the pelvic floor, including post-partum dysfunction in women, and stress incontinence and pelvic pain, which can occur in both men and women.

Amanda Imperiale

Dr. Imperiale has been a familiar face within the CPT family since 2006. She practices within our Carbondale office and leads as the Clinic Manager within that location. Amanda graduated from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Physical Therapy in 2001. Later, she pursued and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Temple University in 2009. Dr. Imperiale is a Direct-Access licensed physical therapist which expands her scope of practice, allowing her to evaluate patients and administer care without physician referral. Amanda’s background encompasses several areas of advanced training including Selective Functional Movement Assessment - Level 1, recognition by the American Institute of Balance as a Level 1 Vestibular clinician (AIB-VR1), recognition by the American Institute of Balance as a specialist in concussion rehabilitation (AIB-concussion), and Level 1 and Level 2 certificates from the Herman and Wallace Institute for the evaluation and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction. Dr. Imperiale’s areas of clinical specialty and interest encompass several areas. First, she is passionate about the care and treatment of patients with pelvic floor dysfunction - both male and female - including post-partum and post-surgical dysfunction; stress/urge urinary incontinence, bowel incontinence/constipation; pelvic pain and dysfunction. Orthopedic conditions relating to pelvic floor dysfunction and as they relate to functional movement patterns and pain patterns are also a focus of Dr. Imperiale’s clinical practice.

Jennifer has been with CPT since 2008 and is the clinical manager of our Dunmore location. Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences with a minor in Psychology and her Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from College Misericordia in 2006. Jennifer is recognized by the American Institute of Balance with a Level 1 Vestibular certification (AIB-VR1) and is also an LSVT BIG clinician, a program which benefits patients with Parkinson’s Disease and Parkinson’s related syndromes. Jennifer’s special interests include geriatrics and neurological conditions, with a focus on Parkinson’s Disease.

Judith Slocum

Judith began with CPT in 2010 as an Occupational Therapist Assistant and was one of only two occupational therapy clinicians with us at that time. Since then, CPT’s occupational therapy department has grown to five members, Judy, with more than two decades of experience across a variety of practice settings, is the manager of the occupational therapy department for CPT. She graduated in 1999 from Penn State University with an Associate Degree of Science. In 2011, she earned her certification in Lymphatic Therapy from the University of Wisconsin. In addition to her lymphatic specialization, Judy loves working with the geriatric population and focusing on cognitive and adaptive techniques for home safety and awareness. Judy practices primarily within the Carbondale and Dunmore offices.

Colleen joined the CPT team in 2010 as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She is a 1993 graduate of Lackawanna College where she earned her Associates Degree in Medical Secretarial Science. Colleen continued her education at Keystone College and earned her Associates in Applied Science of Physical Therapy in 1998. Colleen is recognized by the American Institute of Balance with a Level 1 vestibular certification (AIB-VR1), is pursuing certification in concussion through AIB, and is recognized as an LSVT BIG certified clinician, a program which benefits patients with Parkinson’s Disease and Parkinson’s related syndromes. Colleen’s clinical areas of interest and specialty include dizziness, vertigo and balance dysfunction, neurologic brain injury such as Traumatic Brain Injury and Stroke and the geriatric population at large. Colleen practices primarily within our Carbondale, Hawley and Honesdale offices.

Sara Spinelli

Sara joined CPT in 2018 with nearly a decade of experience and a strong background in pediatric rehabilitation. She is a 2007 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and then her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2009. Since joining CPT, Sara has earned her certification in lymphatic treatment from the Norton School of Lymphedema. Sara’s clinical areas of interest and specialty include pediatrics with a focus in play based therapy and feeding skills and a specialty in lymphatic treatment. Sara practices in our Hawley and Dunmore locations.

Bobbi has been a member of the CPT team since 2013, immediately after earning her Associates in Science in Physical Therapist Assistant from Lackawanna College the same year. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Virginia Intermont College. Bobbi is recognized by the American Institute of Balance with a Level 1 vestibular certification (AIB-VR1) and is certified as an LSVT BIG clinician, a program which benefits patients with Parkinson’s Disease and Parkinson’s related syndromes. Clinically, Bobbi’s specialty areas of interest include geriatrics and Parkinson’s Disease. Bobbi practices in our Dunmore location.

Dogtor Camy

Dogtor Camy joined CPT in 2019 after graduating with honors from Therapy Dog International. Her clinical specialties include fetch, sitting on feet, and taking naps in all the wrong places. She works hard to make our patients and staff happy and comfortable, making her a vital part of the therapy team! Dogtor Camy practices in our Honesdale office.
